As far as I am aware, the Polsilver blades are the same Super Iridium blades that were discontinued a year or two back. I believe the production has been moved elsewhere and that was the reason for their brief absence.
I have used Feathers from the outset of DE use and a trial of the Iridiums a couple of years back impressed me. They are virtually identical in sharpness but smoother. I am on my last 10 pack of Feathers and will be switching to the Polsilver once the Feathers are exhausted.

I've used the old Iridiums and the Feathers and though the Iridiums are great blades they don't match the feather's for sharpness. I don't think anything does.

I have tried the Supers, Polsilvers, Feathers, and Personna meds, which are all supposed to be in the same bracket.

I tried them in three different razors for three shaves.

37c - feathers (smooth for all three and sharp ATG)
Super I (smooth for all tugged ATG shave 3)
Polsilvers (smooth all tugged ATG all 3 shaves)
Personna Med (nicks shave 1 smooth 2,3 ATG tugged 3)

EJ 89 Barley - Feather (nicks 2 shaves ATG sharp all three)
    Super I
Polsilvers - (tugged all three almost gave up)
Personna Med (smooth all 3 and started tugging ATG on shave 3)

'57 SS Red Tip - same results pretty much as the EJ except Supers were smooth and performed like Meds

I concluded and this is just my findings that the feathers performed best for me and I keep a wine cork in shave den to lap them if using in EJ or SS.

    spasoje,

Safety razor blades are a very individual choice; one persons good blade is another's crap blade. You really have to use a blade to see if it suits you.

I have used both Iridium Supers and Feathers, and found both to be excellent; the Iridium Supers had a longer working life, so I use them in preference.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

    Gentlemen,
I agree with Russ. Both the Feather and the old Super Iridium (made in Russia) and the new Polsiver Iridium version (made in Poland) are superb blades. The Feather is sharp. The Super Iridium (Polsilver Iridium) is sharp and silky smooth. And therein lies the difference in the two blades — for me, anyway. I have stopped using the Feather.

I agree, Iridium blades are way smoother and more forgiving.

Having used both, I find that I gravitate to the Feathers in my milder razors, and to the Polsilvers (or original SIs) in the more aggressive ones.

While I haven't really thought deeply about this, it may be that I like Feathers in my milder razors because they're the sharpest blades I've used. The shaves seem to be smooth and close with either of these two setups.

Actually, in my really aggressive razors, I find myself using Red IPs. That may be because I have a massive stock of them.
