This has been in my shop forever. I cant imagine what its used for. Dont see how it would be useful for holding blades. What is it?!

I have a safety razor in a canister , if I remember I'll get a pic and post it. It's very small maybe the size of a shaving brush handle. I also have another safety razor in a tin that may be a little bigger then a blade storage case

Star lather catchers came in a yellow painted tin but not that style. A few other lather catchers as well came in cylinders.

More than likely, but that's not what it was intended for. I own a set with tube and inside is the old brush for one and soap residue in the other
