Default First impression was all wrong with...

Treet Silver. I used one of those and it gave me really bad irritation all over my face. On a recommendation from some others I gave them another go. This is day four on the same blade and still just as smooth as the first. I can only think I may have not centered the blade correctly before. The Treet Silver seems to have more side to side play in my 3 piece Razor Rock. I just took the extra time to make sure it was centered and was rewarded 10 fold.

That is a common problem with some razors that have the center guide or the pins too small by a little bit. Asian razors are the worst for that. You got the right answer from good friends!

PS, Some blades are a bit wider in the guide area than others. Each new manufacturer will be a new experience for you.

The first time I tried feather blades I got crazy razor burn. I put them away and tried them again six months later and they became one of my favorite blades.

I have one razor like that, and one that has VERY tight pins and is always perfect. I also have a 1964 Gillette adjustable where it seems one corner appears to close more tightly than the other. My guess is it was dropped at some point in its history.

If you hold the razor at eye level and open and close it a few times as you rotate it it, you can see which corner needs a bit of adjusting. Depending on your hand skills a tap or a push against a table top will often set it right.
A good friend showed me that.

    Different skins,different beards,different style
Only the testing will tell each shaver which blades suits him.
I have taste cheap blades,no one worked for me as other more expensive as Kai-Feather-Personna
Now those cheap blades are abandoned,no reason to try them again.
