Well, after a couple of razors, it's turning more into greed than anything else
I love the feeling of finding a razor I know I can restore in a flea market or antique store for $20.00 or less then ending up with a great razor that is over 150 to 250 years old & it shaves better that new. Yes the hunt for a good razor is fun but then making it pretty & a great shaver is even better. I am related to the Mappin family & finding one of there products is close to my heart. That said working on a razor & bringing it back from the dead feels best to me. My problem is letting go of them.LOL ;-)
I also like all the equipment & products used with straight razor shaving from old strops & hones to shaving soap, brushes & mugs , after shaves & and all the products in the skin care line. It's ALL GOOD to me!

Just be glad you aren't smitten by the watch bug. Shaving gear is down right dirt cheap when you start with watches.
