    It is a No. 58 - v. nice razor, made in the 50's

    Yes. The No. 58 has gained in value as the other British Gillettes such as the No. 66 have gone up in value and gotten harder to obtain. Yours is in a correct box in good shape, and isn't missing any plating. On eBay would generally go for around $65 - $100 US.

    Like all the British Gillettes, they are good shavers, too.

    If I am not mistaken the 58 is essentially the same as a heavy duty double ring rocket with a different knurling on the handle. Both being one of the best models Gillette turned out.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Nice work Stuggi, that's just beautiful.

    To me, the British Gillettes of the 1950s and American Gillettes of the 1920s are the pinnacle of DEs, almost artwork.
