Tighten that screw!

I gave my GF a non-adjustable DE to shave her legs with. Last week she was shaving & was getting all cut up. After a little investigation & fiddling, she discovers that the screw mechanism has loosened & the blade is more or less free-floating inside the head.

So double-check the tightness of the screw mechanism (or the setting if your DE is adjustable) before you start scraping away!

Back when I shaved with a DE I would loosen the head to rinse between my first and second pass. Once while using a Merkur slant I was day dreaming and didn't tighten it back up. Heck of a nick to remind me. Never forgot after that rude awakening. :)

Or you could get a Lady Schick or a Gem or Everready. No screws to loosen there. I am just saying.:)
