    Default Help identifying vintage gillette

    I'm getting ready to try this one out. Looks cool imho, all brass

    That would be a gillette new.the teeth look straight.I hope you get a good shave from it.To find out the age of it look under the head theres probably a serial number or a single digit in one side and a leter on the other.Do a google search (gillette date codes) and you will be able to reference the age.

    Gillette razors didn't have serial numbers after 1929(except New Deluxe models which were made in 1930) and the letter and number date codes weren't used on razors until the third quarter of 1950. This is a nice example of the short toothed New from the 30s. They are great shavers and you should not be disappointed.

    Yep- it's a beauty. Depending on what you're using now to shave with, this may be a bit more aggressive. Maybe try it out with a forgiving blade...
