Default #41 a perfect Open Comb fit

After a weeks wait I finally got my Merkur #41 Open Comb and a Sampler pack.

It's kind of odd how I ended up here. I went from using an electric cheese grader on up to a Straight. Yes, the straight was fun and I learned a lot from it. Yes, I restored my great grandpa's straight to like new. But the upkeep was starting to stack and I just didn't have the cash to get the other hones to properly maintain it. It will be kept for posterity clean and polished.

Now onto the DE. The Straight taught me a lot about pressure and control which dramatically improved my shaving technique with everything else I had on hand, GEM Micromatic, BIC disposables. After doing a lot of reading and shopping around I went with the $25 Merkur and a $5 sample pack. Nothing expensive, nothing fancy but a damn good shave.
