Thanked: 481Henckles DE?
I searched the entire DE forum. but could not find any mention of a Henckles DE razor.
The really sweet SE, sure, but not a DE.
Did Henckles make one of those? Because I'm pretty sure I saw one in an antique store display case.
I didnt have time to stop and check it out, but If somebody says the thing exists and is rare and valuable, I will make a return trip. =)

Henckles DE?
Hello, Magpie:
To my knowledge, Henckles did not make a double edge razor. Let me qualify that: I have never seen one.

Obie

That's a single edge safety razor much like the old gem lather catchers, those shave great too. Very old types only took wedge blades, no longer made, that had to be honed and stropped.

I saw one of these go on B&B recently, if this is what you meant.

Thanked: 481Not an exact match, but the fact that they exist at all gives me hope.
I will go back and take a closer look see. Any idea what a NIB would be worth? (cause thats what it looked like in my quick pass by)

Thanked: 1903There is another one called "Wotan" here: historische Rasierapparate.
Your search will be more successful if you spell the manufacturer correctly, namely Henckels.

Robin

Thanked: 481I'm pretty sure I spelled it right in the search, and that Wotan is still a single edge, isnt it?
