The most IMPORTANT thing is to share the photos of what you bought with us!!
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

    Fresh from the picking.
Not a bad haul for a few hours work.
I still had no idea what to look for in the DE department. One store I stopped at had about ten Gillette razors I couldn't really tell the difference between them other than some sort of reference number on the back of the head. Anyone know where I can find more info on these numbers before I go back?

well, just regarding the DE it looks like a decent fat handled tech (pic is a little blurry, so i can't tell on condition too much) which is a decent shaver. the numbers on the bottom are just date codes. if it was all the same razor with just different date codes, it probably won't make too much difference. really, knowing the MODEL of the razor will be more helpful (superspeed, flaretip, fatboy, slim, super adjustable, tech etc...).

    After a quick cleaning.
    Gillette Canadian made, 1932.
This one came home with me simply because I am Canadian and it was very inexpensive.

Fat handled tech razors have a good rep. I haven't used one, myself, because I find them a bit too mild for my tastes, but you should get great shaves from yours.

Thanks for the info. As a first Safety razor mild may not be a bad thing. Glad to hear I may have a good fit.
