Default Shaving Bowl, Brush, Razor stand.

I'm sure many of you may have seen this piece before as I did it some time ago. Recently I've posted it in another Forum here ( Custom Builts and Resto's) and thought the DE guys might enjoy it.
The brush is held with a hidden magnet. The entire piece is cherry including the razor scales I recently did to have a complete set. I built it when I was primarily into DEs,, and had to add the straight once I got into building them.
That's a Gillette Rhodium hanging there.

Nice work. How are you going to modify it to present the straight?

Well for now the straight goes back with the rest of the collection. I rotate various stands etc. as the mood strikes me as not all can go out at the same time. What I do plan on building is a brush/bowl/straight stand based on a variation of this design which I'm sure many have already have seen. I could use this similar design and have something similar to what is holding these straights on the side of the stand where the DE currently is. Everything else could remain the same and swap the bowl from stand to stand. Then again,, why not make an entirely new piece so each razor has it's own stand. Why am I being lazy and trying to take the easy way out?

Just stunning. Did your design take as its inspiration the knurling on the rhodium razor?

No, not quite. It was actually a silver cigarette lighter my mom always had on our coffee table decades ago. I always liked the style and the way it swirled much like my design. Go figure!
