Thread: Odd safety razor? Hone the blade with these!

Some of us have old non-standard razors that we would like to try. Old blades are, at best, dull. A stropper of some type in needed. This is only one type of the myriads of them designed. It aligns the blade and grips it firmly to hone or strop. I use the sides of hones to hone with this stropper. One edge at a time. It works well for some of the other narrow single edge blades also

I use the side of the hone with this stropper.
I use the stropper afterwards to strop the blades also.
I am able to shave with my edges,YMMV
