I have a few scars on my left side of my face. The most significant one is just to the left of my chin courtesy of one mean ass dog. There are days when I snag it but stretching it really tight helps as well as tilting the blade such that it doesn't engage the scar head on also helps.

I like the instructions this guy gives. I have one or two scars on the face and I stretch the skin tight. the one on the side of my neck is pretty deep but doesn't give any problem. I don't have to shave it.
I recently had a problem salivary gland removed the same week i started straight razor shaving. The surgery left a pretty nice scar beneath my jaw line. Here's what i do... After applying my shaving cream, i clear away the cream right over the scar. I shave around that area and use an electric shaver to clean up the scar area.
