Anyone Navigating Around a Scar? Advice please.
Here's the deal. I had cervical vertebrae fused six months ago. Surgery left a crevasse, I mean scar, in the bottom of a crease near the bottom of my neck. I guess I could call it the bottom of my shave line but that would be giving in too easily. I have managed to skim over/around it without creating a new scar but the quality is lacking.
I am so far unwilling to take the leap of faith and drive on or "shave through", so to speak. Anyone else have a history with working over gullies and chasms like this? Just take a steeper angle and breeze over it? What's the best approach? I can't be the only guy here with a cervical fusion. I mean, I wish I was but doubt I am.

Creases do seem to take a little different approach. If you have maneuvering room on that part of the neck, orient the edge at a 45 deg angle to the crease. With age, you'll get more creases & it'll be a bigger part of your technique. Sure, a light touch while traversing the ditch is necessary, but the angle will keep the edge from running into the ditch.

Thanked: 177If the doctor says ok to shave then give it a go. I would smooth the lather with your hand in that area so you have a good view. One light pass and see. Cant do nothing more than up or down though.

Have you tried a str8? It's longer 3ins and if you XTG you should slid right over it.
