My son, the eye doc, just read this and sees no real medical need for such a procedure. OTOH, people living near the equator, who are exposed to higher levels of UV radiation, can grow fatty deposits (pinguecula) on the sclera (white part). If these deposits cause irritation they can be removed by a surgeon. A lot of people have them but have no problems.

Pure Asian quackery. Nothing more, nothing less. This is the same as ingesting tigers penis or rhino horn.
