Not sure where to put this one...it is cuts, shaving, honing, and a razor rebuild all in a package.
I built up an Imp wedge from a blade with mismatched scales, it had a shallow frown that I breadknifed out and then honed it. It turned out really nice.
I have been SR shaving for about 5 weeks and have a fair amount of practice with a spike without mishap. Apparently not with this one though! The first cut I deserved. I lost track of where the point was and got my ear within 5 seconds. Small, inconsequential, I felt it, knew why it happened, deserved it.
I then proceeded to fillet my face in three separate places before I knew of the first one! The longest was just under an inch the others quite short, none deep. I finished my face with that razor but did not let the point touch my face for the rest of the shave. I switched to another razor for the second pass after getting out the pencil...
Suggestions? Mute the point, avoid the razor, learn to use it as is, just bleed...
