Daily? or Every other or 3rd day?
I just tried shaving 24hours apart again. Doesn't work for me.
I learned early on that I got a better and easier shave if i had longer stubble. But then two or three days ago I decided to try every day shaving. Just doesn't work for me. I'm nearly 2 years SR only.
Skin doesn't like it, stubble seems more resistant, have to work harder to get smoother. I'm nearly satisfied that if i -had- to shave daily, that i might be forced to use DE much of the time. Oh and that's a scary thought.
Returning to my 2-3 day routine. I'll go longer, but not without trimming my upper lip and neckline.
anybody else? or issit just me?Last edited by WadePatton; 06-14-2014 at 05:11 PM.

You're not alone. My skin won't tolerate a daily 3-pass shave, not even with a DE razor. I have
to settle for either a full SR shave every 2-3 days, or a one or two pass DFS shave every day.
Shaving with cold water helps, but not that much. Neither does using a variety of different
pre-shaves, soaps, creams, or after shaves. If I don't have to shave, I don't, and that seems
to be the best solution for me.

Thanked: 284I do a two pass shave, everyday. I have a goatee so I get a pass on the lip and chin which I understand is difficult...

I don't expect I'll ever be required to shave daily as my beard just isn't heavy/fast enough to throw a shadow until the 3rd day. But right after i started wet-shaving, i started noticing how many guys really just whack at their beards, and never appear to have a good tight shave. IOW my 2nd day looks better than their first.
and you know...showing a 10-day growth who is boss with a big fat blade is half the joy of using a simple blade.
aside: I have seen videos where guys "reduce" long beards with clippers and scissors (before presumably finishing the job with plastics-i don't know i don't watch it all)...and I just laugh and say to myself--NOT necessary, but what do we know?Buttery Goodness is the Grail

Thanked: 603Once-a-week... on Friday... late morning, or early afternoon.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
