Default As much as I like my Feather shavette...

So I had written off shavettes based upon my experience with the Parker, until @Earcutter informed me about the Feather system. The Feather SS is an awesome razor and I feel bad even calling it a shavette because it's in a class of it's own. With that said, been going back and forth between my straights and the Feather for the last few weeks and although the Feather SS is awesome, the straights are simply superior. There is something about the blade style that just gives better shaves, and I like the little "forgiveness" that straights give you that you don't get with the shavette. I'll be using the Feather for travel, but even as good as it is, it can't stand up to an actual straight (in my opinion).

Live, learn, change and learn again, and again, and again.....that's the way it should be.

Sometimes an arsonal is just that - an arsonal .

I began collecting straights with an eye to finding the few I liked best, then having gssixgun do his magic to them including making sure they would all have matching scales etc. I would sell off those that didn't "make the cut" (or give em to SRP for givaways).

Before I could decide which I wanted to keep, i found that they all had their own attributes. As such, my OCD calmed and making sure they all had matching scales kind of went the way of the do-do.

I have blades I haven't used in years... When I do get to one, I'll be glad I still have it in my arsonal .

@earcutter... in case you ever decide to do more "give aways", I'll PM you my address! ha ha ha! And thanks again for the heads up on the Feather system. That thing is awesome for travel. Leaving for Florida tomorrow and it's already packed!
