I actually need to amend my previous estimate:
I will use the same formula to calculate the number of shaves, that being 2,925. However I need to rethink the amount of shaves I have. I had assumed a shave every day, however I currently shave on average 18.5 times in a 3 week period, 13 out of 14 days I am at work and on average 5.5 of the 7 days I am at home.
I think my current job will last maybe a year so that is 321 shaves.*
After this job I think I will go back to working in Perth so my shaving habits should mirror that of my week off, so 5.5 shaves per week, or 287 per year*.
I have used 365.25 days per year for this calculation.*
If I subtract 321 from 2925 I get 2604, if I then divide 2604 by 287 I get 9.07, i add the 1 for the first year and I end up with 10.07 years of shaving (give or take)
sorry, i just cheated and did a cut and paste from a thread about how long your products last.

Usually i shave every Day, only if my skin is stressed by Weather or i have less time, i make one or two days brake (but this doesnt happen often).
-
Before i start my DE/Straight razor shaving i did not enjoy shave, but now every second is pure pleasure during the role shave ritual/rutine. I love it.
I shave every day and a few times (just a few) i don't shave every day if my skin is irritated.

I've always had jobs that required me to be clean shaven. Even when I had a full beard I had to clean up my cheeks and neck every day. I always took the weekends off, though. Since I started wet shaving a few years ago, I've been shaving on the weekends too, just for the enjoyment of it. Only rarely do I skip a day. (get up, mow the lawn, change the oil in the bike, hang brakes on the wife's car, make a run to the dump, "oh look, the days over already! No shave or shower today.")

I shave everyday because I enjoy it, and I just don't feel clean unless I do. I can thank my fiance for getting me on this journey, she would complain about my beard. She would say it felt like wires sticking out of my face. I would go shave and she would still complain. Thinking their had to be a better option out there I discovered DE razors, she suggested a straight razor because she things they are sexy.. So I got one.. Now I have tried over 20 blades, own 8 brands of shave soaps 15 after shaves.. Its kinda nuts... But the entire process is cool how each variable plays such an important role and how each effects the shave.

My idea of taking a day off is a single pass. If I don't shave I look like a bum for about a week, at which point I have a full beard.

When I got my first straight, I was so excited, I shaved as often as I could. Now I like to wait 2 to 4 days and then take the time to have a nice relaxing 3 pass shave.
-
3 or more days after my last shave.
-
Every other day to allow skin to rest and stubble to grow. I do on occasion shave one pass between days for sheer enjoyment. The next shave never comes soon enough!
