What are the options for a non-folding razor?
Do you already use a straight razor for shaving?

I also have a feather folder I use on occasion. Fantastic shaving razor. It makes me feel guilty sometimes , (cheating) the machined sharpened feather blades provide such a wonderful shaving experience. I've never used a real or feather designed kamisori. I'm sure other SRP members will join in and help answer your questions.

There are places in the US to buy from I am sure.
That purist is a beauty.
I love mine, they have gotten fairly pricey though and may not be the most sensible option for someone wanting to try a fixed blade. They shave like a dream though.Quote:

This artisan's store is called 'ShaveSmith' and can be found on Etsy. I can't vouch for the product, but considering the price for both razor and strop, it might be worth looking into. I like this blade's design. Seems well suited for a shaver looking to try this style of blade without dropping a bomb for a traditional Japanese or contemporary custom.
