Left side neck playing with nick fire
Morning Shavers,
Well its been 3 weeks with a Boker King Cutter bought from Straight Razor Design. No nicks yet, well a couple of weapers/creepers, but the left neck side is playing with nick fire. Upper face both sides using both hands going well with wtg and xtg. Neck right side right hand with down ward stroke going well. However, on the left side using the left hand I have been getting a bit of tug/pull chatter. Maybe, left side I need to try a different angle or thats the side thats going to let me know I dulled my blade. I use a Lynn paddle strop and thought I didn't use to much pressure in the strop. I did decide to fresh up the Boker with the diamond paste/ruff leather then the smooth leather. But not much better on the left. Have been watching the angle of the blade, could be better but I am thinking its more hand eye and first pass direction. I am sure the blade is not as sharp as the day it arrived. My plan now is to pick up another Boker or Ralf Aust and not strop first just wipe off oil and shave to check a base line on the neck. I guess everyone has a problem spot. I have been working on the left side till I get to the point I think the next touch will nick then switch to the DE. Still leaving the chin for last.
