Well... I've had my first encounter with an over honed blade...
All I can think of it that I have given it a few too many strokes on the 1 micron side of my Tony Miller paddle before moving to the 0.5 micron side.
The result is predictable... razor burn and LOTS of it my poor face is stinging like all hell and it's beet red :cry:
On the upside only a single weeper and no nicks.
Oh well live and learn.
Bugger! As my old grandma used to say, whack a bit of metho on it and you'll be right! ;) (probably don't whack metho on it....)

Sorry to hear that Lancer . Is there a difference between too sharp and overhoned?

If I recall correctly meths doesn't feel that bad on cuts for the first few seconds. It's only after that it starts to burn. At least that's true for cuts on the finger but having never had the inclination to turn masochist I've never tried it on my face. :)
