Can't go wrong with swing music!! I usually have a Pandora "Smooth Jazz" instrumental station sometimes. I don't shave with music often though, it's usually only in preparation for certain occasions (Shaving before a date, something formal/black tie etc.)
AC/DC all the way during my shaves or Led Zepplin. Tc
+1 for the swing music. Particularly gipsy swing!
I like listening to Django Reinhardt while shaving.
The roar of a bee, the crash of a dandelion...
The Anvil Chorus. You can synchronize your strokes with the beat of the hammer on the anvil-har har.
Gun smoke, The Shadow Knows Are Mis Brooks, Life of Ryle and X minis one etc etc
Any music but country for me.....
Slacker workout heavy metal
Music to me is very distracting. I don't dislike music but I don't multitask very well.....
No music for me! I find it too distracting! I have to concentrate completely on the shave!
60's, 70's, and 80's hits on Pandora. Brings back good times
Just finished listening to Barry White while shaving (- staying power -you're the only one I need - you're my everything- never gonna give you up). showing my age I guess but his music brings out a very smooth rhythm to the shave!!!!!
May I humbly suggest some classic tunes from Benny Bell for classic shaving:

There are some things that I like to do with the 'sounds of silence.' Shaving, riding bicycles on and off road, brisk walking in the morning. Background music is okay if I were in a movie, but in real life I enjoy music when I'm actually listening with full attention. YMMV.
Like Jimmy, the sounds of silence suit me fine:)
Modern Jazz Quartet with a nice 1960s Friodur, particularly the track "Django"
Me and Santana this mourning with a new to me double duck satin
Look what I found:

I shave in silence. Mainly because the Swiss Miss is asleep in the next room.
leon redbone works for me
The syndicated radio program "Flashback". I usually shave Sunday mornings, and this is what is on my classic rock station.

I range from Johnny Cash all the way to Motley Crue. It just depends on the mood when you start shaving.
How about "Twist" music?

I like mystery - detective radio shows. Box 13 with Alan Ladd, Tales of the Texas Rangers with Joel McCrea, Dragnet with Jack Webb, and that all-time classic that ran for 20 years, Suspense with just about every movie star on various episodes. Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar with Bob Bailey is terrific, too.
The only thing I listen to is the shrieks of my whiskers as they gather in their death dance in a layer of cream upon my blade!
Gunsmoke, Dragnet, Johnny Dollar. On Radio Classics.
I like to listen to Cussin' Brucie a lot also. On 60's on 6.
And of course I listen to any MLB game that is on at the time. Try to listen to all of the LA Dodgers games, or The San Francisco Giants games, and I have been known to listen to the San Diego Padres Games.
Today was The Mamas and The Papas with a Puma 5/8 razor smooth
Genco razor The Doors playing in the back round!
I'm with the quiet crowd...I like the sound of the shave and the differences which vary according to grind, days growth, etc. While road riding (like JimmyHAD) I am mystified by cyclists who wear plugs for music....I consider road cycling in a Metro area dangerous enough without eliminating one of your senses, plus it is the sounds of cycling that are so much a part of the fun....the wind, tires on road, bird calls.....and drivers!
Yeah, count me with the quiet, contemplative shavers. Now if I did listen to music while shaving, it would have to be Bobby Darrin's "Mack the Knife."
PANTERA...that is all.
I can listen to music anytime. While shaving, I enjoy the sound of sharp steel cutting whiskers.
Depends on the day I'm having.
If I want something vintage, it's Silvertone radio. For something a little more upbeat, it's Rockabilly Radio.
If it's really early, CBC radio, Gibson Solitudes (nature only, no music), or silence.
And I agree with some of you. The death curdle of whiskers getting mowed is music onto its own.
