    That is true. It is also the reason why this entire discussion is pointless. Unless one should be looking for the entirely subjective opinion of one individual about one individual razor.

    There was a reason why I mentioned Peres, though, and not one of the big brands. Nevermind.

    Surely a Globusmen first class E. Bergfeld & Sohn must be in the running for best/thinnest grind?
    I didn't realise it had a belly its so thin until I took these photos.

    I too would be partial to the many of the Little Valley, NY razors, but I hone a D. Peres for a customer about once a year.

    It is a super shaver and a looker with a French grind, I always enjoy the test shave from that blade once it is honed. I have told the owner that I would gladly buy or trade, when he tires of it.

    A couple of years ago I re-scaled it for him in Reindeer antler and it came out stunning, I posted some pic but can find them at the moment with the antler.

    Don’t know what it is about the D. Peres, but have been looking for a French grind for years with no luck.

    Here are some pics of the razor before it was re-scaled, these are in the original celluloid scales.
