I have razors in many places. My working selection of about 40 is in the bathroom. I have simple window air-conditioning and have not had a rusted or cell rotted razor so far. All of the razors do have free air movement around them and either hang by their tails from magnets or are semi upright in shave stands. Strops seem to like my shave den. They hang from hooks on the back of the door.
Every situation is different and your other experience of tools could be your guide. Razor blades now are mostly plastic coated and they won't tell you much. Perhaps, start out with the blades elsewhere and put a piece of clean and non-oily high carbon steel in the shave den for a couple weeks to find out. An old carbon kitchen knife sanded well and cleaned could be such a thing.
YMMV!
