Best Shave Ever
Been straight razor shaving for about 3 months now and bought a Thiers-Issard. I had it honed and got the most incredible shave ever. No nicks and was even able to shave under my nose without any problems.
I love my thiers-issard razor and the shave I got.

Sometimes it all comes together. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug. Sounds like you had a great, windshield kind of shave!

Well three months would put you in the "100 Shave Zone"
Get there with a freshly honed razor and all of the sudden it all comes together.

Grats! I too am about 3 months in and just got a new blade. Was actually looking at a T.I., but went with Ralf Aust. And I agree with you...a well honed blade is an amazing experiance!

I have the same razor and thought that the 2 6/8 Aust's offered the best shave until I won a Mastro Livi on eBay. 6/8 Spanish tip and just wants to shave. Really smooth and sharp. Just ordered another one. Picture of Aust with horn scale
and Livi with black ebony scale.
