    Default scar or not?

    Hi guys

I'm quite upset. About one week ago i switched back to a spike razor i had when i first started shaving. I guess i wasn't paying attention and i seemed to get a vertical cut down my face with spike. It stopped bleeding within the first 5 min and i cleaned it up. I didn't shave for about 1 week after so let it heal. I noticed it was red under my whiskers but thought it would heal ok. Today i shaved and i notice there's like a visible pink line vertically down my face it looks quite unsightly.

I'm worried it's going to leave a permanent scar...I applied some vitamin e oil (not much) but wanted to know peoples thoughts on this. All my previous cuts have healed fine and left a more whitish blemish that blends in with my skin after about a week. This cut feels different for some reason. I don't think it was too deep but i did feel it sharply when i did it.

I've got a bigger scar from where my sister stabbed me with a pencil. I reckon it will be gone by year's end

Yes & yes. The black graphite mark is still there after 25 years.

Nah! You'll be fine. It looks worse than it is. My spikes do that too from time to time. Trust me! I filleted my face on Sunday, badly. Mine is far far worse than that, and it looks like mine is healing nicely and might not scar.

Thanks raif! I hope yours is fine too! you're probably right it does look worse than it is (i hope) i think it looks worse from further away because all the discoloration makes a line. closer up the skin is a faded pink that i think should diminish with time. I hope yours doesn't scar either! i guess i ended up getting too used to a round tip to make a smooth transition...

Gah, me too. Reached into my desk and stabbed myself in the hand with a No. 2. About...18ish years ago...

Most women find scars as a sign of manhood/virility.

    Hope this helps
