You're never too old for a rookie mistake
As my stropping technique has improved over the last year, I have my Hart Steel Kami's in great shaving shape. And I've weeded out the the average soaps from the super soaps and things have pretty much dialed in on this journey. I love straight shaving and can't wait to do it every day. I can't even remember the last time I had a significant nick or cut.
Oh wait! Yes I can. About ten minutes ago I cut my neck like I was trying to take myself off the planet. What happened? As I was up-stroking on my neck, I turned my head for no good reason, turning a shave into a slice. All the sudden I'm in the middle of an 80's slasher movie.
My long-winded point. Never get comfortable. Stay focused every shave like you're doing it for the first time.
