Glasses, mine are on & off, on & off. They just seem to get in my way with lathering, skin stretch and or block my view. Off they come, get that area and then back on. My beard lays so flat that glasses is only way to see that missed patch cause I can't feel it with lather.
I'm getting where I just shave with out glasses. Then after first rinse take good look with glasses on and re-lather spots and them clean up.
I have a very weathered face with deep crevasses and hollows with 'cow lick' in face & neck that defy clean straight shaving. A wet shaver all my life but still seeking and finding my center with straight razors.
Sometimes I leave those patches and I come back with a dulled razor and lather and try to find that magic stroke/direction/position/pull/lift/stretch/grip in those problem areas then put to test with lather & SR razor. I still have a ways to go and yes I grab the cartridge razor to help finish a proper shave still. ;)
