    Fire tongs are the next thing. That I probably just need to break down and buy from somewhere.

    Yeah I know I need to smooth it some but I'm not planning on using it for pinning. I'm planning on using it as an anvil for forging blades. Correct me if I'm wrong but for forging it should be smooth but it does not have to have a mirror polish.

    You are correct. No mirror polish needed for forging. That would only get ruined at the very first hammer strike anyways. Just grind it flat with one of these.
