That is worth every minute to me and it's gonna save my EARS! Thank you very much for doing that! Your technique just saved a lot of trial and error on my part and about 7 minutes a day of my life!!
Kind regards,
OK, I just watched it. And you made me thoroughly jealous of your skill.
But three points:
From 4:05 a tone builds; is it engine or truck?
I like how you keep your eyes rolled up to watch the top of your head while you shave the back! It almost makes me wonder if you have a secondary mirror system.
And third, you make me think, since I've thought the same about myself, that perhaps *all* head shavers at least somewhat resemble Bra'tac!
That's a truck - we live on a steepish hill in a fairly new area. Lots of landscaping trucks coming and going.
No, no secondary mirror system. I basically start every "down the back of my head" stroke from a position where I can see the blade initially, so I look up at that point to check the angle. Sometimes I keep looking there because you can still see your arm and scale position, even if you can't see the actual blade.Quote:

LOL! :roflmao Yeah, it's a bit uncanny!Quote:

Very cool video James, it certainly seems like you've been doing
that a while from your technique!

I like the sound the razor makes as it slices the hairs off.
My brother buzzed his head with the electric trimmer close to a year ago and I told him that because his hair was so short anyway, why not shave it too? It's something he had never done before, so why not give it a shot while he had the chance? I thought it was a good opportunity to use the straight razor on his melon. I found that the razor got caught up pretty easily, though, so I switched to the DE and did a good job. Just goes to show that David Carradine's use of a straight to go from long hair immediately down to smooth skin would be extremely difficult, if not impossible.
Yeah - I saw that Kung Fu clip. Ouch is all I can say. I don't know whether it would be impossible, but without lathering up first - if it's real then he's a better man than me!
Actually, that story of your brother is why I shave every day. Things seem to go a bit easier that way, and I like to keep it smooth. Going against the grain was too difficult and time-consuming for me, so I just upped the frequency instead. Of course, I'm bald on top so that helps too.
James.
WOW! You got balls.
Very well done. Very quick too!
