Thanked: 1587Head Shave Video
OK - it's cheap, it's nasty, the lighting's bad and the sound is out of sync, but for better or worse here's a video of me shaving my head.
Head Shave
It's not a tutorial, just a fairly accurate representation of my daily head shave (I keep looking at the camera to make sure I'm still in the shot...).
Hopefully it's good enough to give you the general idea.

What's that furry thing living on your face? Good thing you've got that straight razor in your hand. If it gets unruly you can wound it. Does it have a name? What do you feed it? What does it smell like? Can it do tricks? Who takes care of it when you're away on vacation?
Seriously though, this is a cool video. I know there've been guys looking to watch a madman like you accomplish this task for quite some time. Congratulations on inspiring lopped ears everywhere. Good job!

Neat video, but I uh, noticed there were some variations on your grip throughout the clip. This is WRONG!
(Just kidding. I'm making fun of the gentlemen who act as though there is only one shaving style. Very impressive video.)

Thanked: 1587Thanks Gary! But it's not a Wapi - it's a 6/8 Feist Luna. Unfortunately the quality of the video is pretty poor - I'm not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make a better looking video, I'd love to get some tips.
Cheers Vgod. I don't know if I do it well, but it works for me.
LOL! I must admit I was a bit reticent to put this up as I've been following your thread. But I thought, what the hey - we all do what we all do, and if it works for you it doesn't matter. I'm the first to admit I'm no expert, but I get the job done. Actually, I've found the head is a lot more forgiving than my face - I never realized until I watched that video back that I use a fairly steep blade angle on the dome.
Thanks for all the kind comments fellas

Cool James -- bubba that starting stroke bothered me just a tad --- I don't know if I could hack it but great job man.

Thanked: 0That scares the hell out of me!
I have no problem putting a straight to my face and shaving but not even being able to see what I'm doing doesn't sit well with me.
Nice job

Thanked: 1As a fellow head shaver, I seriously appreciate the video. I sometimes dabble with a straight on my head, though I do realize if I spend more time on it, I will become progressively better. But the thought of a slice on the back of my head unnerves me for some reason. I'm a little dyslexic, so every command does not precisely control, if you know what I mean.
