    Default shave ready experiment

I have an idea that I would like to try. I have a shave ready by my book wapi that I belive to be shave ready. I know my standards may not be the same as someone else so as a test, I would like to send this razor out to someone and have them shave with it. If they like it send it back. If they don't, do whatever is needed to get a good shave with it and then send it back to me in that condition. I want to get an idea of what shave ready actually is to someone else

I will pay shipping both ways. So if anyone is up for this let me know. if it takes alot of work which I highly doubt I will cover whatever cost there is in that area as well.

    Thanks.

Matt that's an excellent idea. If I was a bit more experienced (only been shaving with a straight for about 2 months) I'd take you up on it, especially since I'm right accross town. Hope you find a taker.

Its a noble idea. The only problem is what if the person who accepts is a "little" ham handed in the honing department and you get a razor back you would not be happy with?

I thought Lynn was welcoming razors sent to him for evaluation? He mentioned he'd inspect the edge, try it, and give you feedback / tips.

I think it's great that you're accomplished in the PCR, but you've only been straight shaving for 2 months. YOU, my friend, have your priorities straight. I'd get skilled there over honing in a heartbeat...

I wouldn't have ever attempted what I have "accomplished" if I hadn't had the good experiences I have had, that said I'm no expert but I am calm under pressure and very maticulous. That and my lady was very persuasive.

I don't think I started anything and I wouldn't call it a cult, but it is definitely something that is growing. You can thank JohnnyJ for starting it and I don't know what his rules are for membership but I am sure it's in the works. To be honest I didn't think I was going to get in on it at all as I didn't think my lady would go for it but I didn't even have to work at it. I told her about the thread and she said go for it.
    I guess I got lucky.

Yes, I also remember Lynn saying that he would be happy to evaluate razor honing. He would probably be a good start
