Thread: 1st shave with self honed razor!

I just shaved with my first ever self honed razor! (and self restored) And it went quite well.
Used a norton 4k/8k and stropped on paste then leather. I had a back up straight ready if it wasnt good enough to finish the job but it breezed through with no irritation. (Im very proud)
I actually went to the 1k first to re align the edge. Im so chuffed, been thinking about it through the day smiling to myself.

Cant i now call my self something .... cant remember what the other guys have said when they got to this stage, to shave with a self honed razor ...

Any way to much pride is a bad thing so ill shut up, just wanted to let you guys know, and thanks for ALLLLLL the help from SRP!
