Caught in the act!
Well, I walked into the bathroom just now and looked over to see my wife shaving her legs...with my Thistle Cut straight razor. She looked a little sheepish. "Did you strop the razor?" I asked. "No" she replied. I took the razor and stropped it for her, then showed her a good angle and warned her against too much pressure. She went to town! Like a fish takes to water she took to the straight! I guess the 9 years shes been watching me shave has paid off for her! Learning via osmosis!
I have to go now and make sure she dries the blade properly!

Pass on my congrats Mark. You now have the dilema of encouraging her to sign up here, or not!
And in my defence (going to pull the Preggo clause here), I rolled Spike's razor ONCE recently, but only because I haven't been able to use my straight for months and had forgotten which direction to strop in.

Shes at it again! My 5/8's W & B wedge. I taught her a little about stropping and a toe leading pass!

That's great Mark. Next thing you know I'll be sending my razors to her to hone.
I wish my wife would give it a shot, or let me teach her. I can't see her doing it often, but I bet she'd like the experience.
The way she shaves with her safety razor I can see why the thought of using a straight might seem dangerous to her. They don't call 'em safety razors for nothing. You'd have to seriously try to cut yourself with one of them Daisy's.
