Awesome!!!
Thank you!!!
Lynn
He's progressing well.... and this one does include a blade...
Very cool Thanks for sharing this.
BTW, I know the lather is on the thin side. But for his first lesson with a Str8 I didn't spend too much time on the stirring. Instead, before lathering up, we drilled on the proper holding and positioning of the blade. I wanted to make damn sure he had control of the blade with this first lesson.
That blade is dull, I hope .
I "shaved" my youngsters once, with a completely butter-knife-dull razor. They particularly liked swirling the brush with the hot lather.:)
Looks like you're having quality time with your grandson. He's lucky with such a granddad. As long as that razor's dull...

I remember when my sons used to love to watch me shave and want to join in the fun......
Thanks!

have to agree. lots of guns and knifes around my house when the boys were young i found it was impossible to boy proof every gun and knife in the house so i knife and gun proofed the boys. they are still amound the liveing and i think respect for sharp and loud things cant begin too soon
I wish MY grandfather had taught me how to shave with a straight. As it was, I found his (broken scales, damaged-blade) razor in his personal effects after he died. He'd gone to a DE years before, and then to cheap cartridge disposables for as long as I'd known him. I hadn't started shaving with a straight yet, but I knew a good find when I saw one. It went into my pocket back then and it's now stashed for when I have the time and resources for a good restore job.
But this makes me look forward to teaching my own sons and grandsons. Thanks.
