Wonderful! Thank you for taking the time and effort to write that.
I wrote my feelings (though not NEARLY as eloquently) for my wife once, and instead of saying "Ah, I understand now!" she rolled her eyes and said "Its just shaving."
Oh well...she doesn't have to understand.

I get that all the time too!

    If you're not a writer,you should be.That was poetic,lyrical,and long-winded.But exactly spot-on.Thank You.

Thank you, Alan. And yes, I am a writer -- an especially well-shorn one.

Thank you for this it's more than a thread it's a piece that each one of us can feel a part of. In a world that is now running at lightspeed there seems to be days that the only place time can slow for a moment is in the shave den. It's good to have time to reflect and remember. Straight shaving is an art many won't take the time or effort to learn but for us who are there is no better shave.

    sometimes, more is more!

I was inspired to read as many pages of the Penelope chapter as I could out loud last night to my girlfriend. that's a challenge, to parse all of it without punct. there's a Naxos audio book I have where a woman reads it so beautifully...

As soon as I finish Gravity's Rainbow, I'm going back through Joyce; haven't read him since I started shaving. I'm sure there are all kinds of surprises waiting for me.
