The poll about a 5 O'Clock shadow has left an interesting question in my mind:
Has wet shaving allowed you to put off the 5 O'Clock shadow?
For example - before I started wet shaving I would get a 5 O'Clock shadow at approximatly 10:00AM, safeties pushed that all the way back to well 5:00PM while straights have eliminated the 5 O'clock shadow entirely.
yes, Shave at 7:00am, the shadow begins around 20 -25 hours later, thats with a BBS shave.
Quick 2 pass shave, 7:00am, The shadow begins around 7:00pm.
Straight shave BBS - there is no substitute!

Yes, I now get a good 12 hours before an obvious shadow.

Hell, I have 5 o clock shadow about 15 minutes after shaving...:boohoo:
I work 13 hours shifts (compressed work week) and I've been VERY pleased with how well I've been able to keep the 5 o'clock shadow at bay. I shave around 2:00 in the afternoon, and when I get off work at 4:30am, I still look presentable. Not perfect, but presentable.
With my old mach3, even if I did multiple passes including ATG, I would look down right scruffy by about midnight.
It's about the same for me - no change.
