wow, thats great i hope they keep it up for another 4 generations, i dont have any kids yet but straight shaving is one thing i cant wait to pass on to them, congratulations
Taken aback at the reaction to that wee bit info i threw in, but thankyou to all who responded and i will let my son read the responses he will get a kick out of it . when i asked him did he want to learn to use a straight he said "ever since i saw you use it i wanted to be able to do that" well now he can and he is over the moon about it .. He can teach his own son now . and will i get a kick out of that you all know i will and how. My biggest regret is when my father died my mother threw out my fathers razors and strops and his fathers before that.. i did not want to ask for them too soon.... broke my heart. wont happen to my son the instructions have already been given .. thanks again folks. god bless have a nice life. scotchie...... my real name is George by the way.
Please, please, please, don't be a stranger, George. Come back and give us the benefit of your experience.
Awesome way to teach the next generation. I don't have a son, but I am teaching my wife to shave her legs with a straight razor. :whipped:
Hi all , went to show my son the replys from you and 2 through 10 seems to have vanished any one know how to recall them?????? george
Lovely story.
I wished my father could had taught me too. I remember seen my grand father shaving with the straight every morning, but my father did it with a DE and I end up with the Match-3. Now, thanks to SRP and B&B I am back on wet saving and walking the path to the roots of my grand father.
Best wishes to you all.
regards
Nice that you dropped in. Thanks for the story.
Take Care,
Richard
