Should I buy a Lotto ticket?

The background behind this question:

Today before my shave, I was stropping my razors. I stropped my Harris Bros wedge without difficulty, but managed to roll the edge slightly on my Kraut & Donal that I use for my touchups. Obviously, I went back to the strop to try and fix it. Near the end of my 50 leather laps, I dropped my razor. It somehow managed to miss my fridge (which my strop hangs above) a bottle that was on the floor, my foot, and landed on a wadded up T-shirt without visible damage to itself or the shirt. I inspected the edge, saw nothing obviously wrong with it, so started the stropping again from scratch (40 Linen, 50 Leather). I then shaved. The blade was sharper than I think it may have ever been since I bought it, and gave me a beautiful shave.

This is not the first time something bad has happened with this razor, however. A while back, while still earning, I accidentally dinged it on the faucet. Through some miracle, I managed to ding the spine rather than the edge. Results: no damage, no loss of sharpness.

So my question: bad luck comes in threes - is the same true of good luck? I'm giving thought to putting some of my meager funds towards buying a lottery ticket for next week's draw. If the forum decides that it's a good idea, I shall do so. If not, I shall save my money.
