Just to clarify something, I was shaving with my regular Gillette Fusion and really didnt want to use the straight because I knew that it needed to be honed but i just couldn't resist and just had to try it out. I may have shaved a grand total of 1.5 square inches of skin with the straight and then went back to the Gillette loll I just got it honed to perfection by Max yesterday and will be using it for a full shave over the weekend when i have more time. I'll post about the results of my first proper shave when I finally get it done
And a word about the honemeister Max: Very nice guy, very knowledgeable and willing to help. If you have a razor that needs to be honed, you can rest assured that they will be in very good hands with him! Once i get a hang of this shaving thing I will most definitely be getting one of his beautifully restored vintage razors!!
Thank you Max and everyone else on here for all of your help and advice!
