After months of experimentation and needing to clean up with a DE, I am finally able to get BBS without the DE clean-up.
This is big for me personally, because I always felt like I was cheating. No more!

I didn't feel like a true "straight razor shaver" until I completely ditched the Mach 3. Now I don't even know where that thing is anymore...

It's a great feeling-and i know what you mean about the guilt thing-but keep the D/E handy -during the week when I didnt have time to shave with the straight - the D/E did what it's good for-10 min shave start to finish!!!

Practice was a big part of it. The areas of my neck right below my jawline have the wiskers growing horizontally toward the center. I was never able to get a good shave in this area because of the angle I would have had to hold the blade.Quote:
