Third Shave, OMG it's nice

Well, today I tried my 3rd Straight Razor shave after a day of driving the Wifey to see her Mom. I'm still only doing the sides and neck with the straight, then finishing up with the Mach 3, but today I tried using the Strop 10-20 passes before the left down, before the right down, before the left up, and before the right up. Minimal pressure on the Paddle Strop, just the weight of the blade plus a fraction, pulled at an angle from heal to tip. When I was done I noticed I nicked where my right ear attaches to my face at the bottom and grabbed the Styptic for the first time. Did the whole face with Styptic as an experiment and WOW I had alot of surprising hot spots. I'm glad I did. The tight, burning, dry skin I have been experiencing is all gone and after conducting the "Wifey Test" she told me today is the closest shave she's ever felt on me. I have gravitated to the 6/8 #40 Kron from John Crowley, instead of switching, trying new sizes, I'm going to learn on 1 to 2 razors til I can do my whole face this smooth. Next step...learning to hone the 5/8 DOVO Bismark Special (I'm NOT touching that masterpiece from John Crowley) so I can take it back with me to the Middle East at the end of R&R.
