Default I did not do it..

I did not get up when I should have this morning, I slept about 30 minutes longer I was tired.

I did not do my exercises this morning. Did not have time, so therefore I was a little stiff.

I did not strop canvas and leather as much as I would have normally.

I did not take the long hot wake up shower I normally do, there my brush did not soak as long as it normally would.

I did not make much lather with my Tabac Cream.

I did not let the lather soak for a minute or so on my face.

I did not do two passes on the face this morning, did one however took my time and did it right.

I did not nick, or cut myself.

I did get a decent shave.

I did strop on canvas when done, got to treat the Boker right.

Thought I would just share this.

At least you got a decent shave!!! That is really all that matters.

I noticed that shaving in the morning makes it that much easier for me to get up. It gives me something to look forward to to start my day.

Also, if for some reason I wake up late and do not have time to go through my whole routine, I will bust out the DE. I would not shave with a straight unless I had the time, prep and proper state of mind.

You must have needed the extra 30... I'll take an extra 30 when I get the chance...

As long as you got a good shave... That's all that matters...

Sometimes you just need to smack the snooze.

Explain the virtue of wet shaving with you neighbor. You will be absolved with the Razor Deity. Shave in peace.

I think it can be helpful to go overboard on prep in the beginning to make shaving a little easier when your technique is lacking.

It is nice to be able to shave without 30 minute of prep, or taking an hour to shave. Now days most shaves I do a quick lather after my shower, 30/60 on the strop, and a quick WTG pass.

I dont think I have ever included stroping as part of my prep. I generally try to keep atleast two of my razors in an already stroped and ready to shave condition. every now and then I even catch up and have all my razors stroped and ready to go before I need a shave.

of course I only have four it might be different if i had a dozen or so.

A lot of the prep that we discuss is purely for luxury, not necessarily mandatory. Unless, of course, you enjoy luxury

At least your shave turned out well, that's all that matters.
