I wrote a thread awhile back whining about a Wade and Butcher razor I bought and all the trouble I was having, (square point was cutting me, it seemed unwieldy, too heavy, wah wah). Well, here I am a few weeks later to dine on black bird in a big way. After fielding advice here in this forum, I let up on the pressure of my stroke and just plain slowed down with that old razor. I let the blade do the work through 3 passes and afterwards, took extra time to strop. All of you in this forum get credit for helping me out with face prep too. No more facial cuts or razor burn, Wow! Thanks everyone for helping me fall for that W&B and to get comfortable with straight razor shaves in general. Might even have to consider making that old girl beautiful again with one of you restorers out there!:tu
