Thread: Ouch!! I Haven't Gone There in a While...

So the school year, and thus my teaching duties, has ended. And like I do every summer, I got a wild hair (hehe) and decided to shave off my moustache and goatee. Having had no practice there for the last 10 months, I should have known better-that area looks like Jack the Ripper got to me. Probably 7 or 8 good cuts, and a couple of nice gashes on the 'stache where I rested the blade trying to get my bearings-idiot!


I know it wasn't my razor or prep, as I took a good hot shower/face wash, and I keep my Improved Eagle in tip-top shape with the 8k Norton, Swaty, CrOx, newsprint, and lots of regular stropping; it will pop hairs from across the room! An uberlather of Godrej Menthol Mist and T&H Trafalgar kept things nice and slick. But after my 2nd pass turned everything pink, I knew to finish up with my SuperSpeed. After a cold-water rinse to stop the bleeding (sort of), for my sins I finished with a generous splash of AV Ice Blue. Painful, but worth it when the outside temp pushes 100.

I'm not complaining or asking for advice-I can find that with a search, I suppose. Just sharing my stupidity; will probably do the same again next June. Aaron
