I'm in my late 40's but I've been wet shaving with a SE, brush and mug since I was in my 20's. I tried to use a straight razor back then, but had little luck without a resource like this forum. I'm a big history buff and love using items most folks would think of as "antique" and obsolete on an everyday basis. Been shaving with a straight razor for about two months and it's great to finally scratch that itch :)

Shaving with straights for almost 3 years now...I didn't keep track of when I did my first shave, so I can't be more specific :P
straight razors will NEVER become obsolete ;D
19 here, started last year
Hey i'm 20 but also started when i was 19. I felt shaving became a chore i just couldn't do it every morning so i made it a hobby! And loving It!
I am 28 and started shaving with a straight about 3 months ago and have not touched a cartridge since.
I'm 27. I don't know why the idea struck me to shave with a straight razor. Maybe it was going to a barber where I used to live in Washington state who always did hot lather, hot towel and a straight razor around the edges and the back of my neck. Felt so nice. Maybe it was just the idea that it was a manly skill I should acquire, or at least attempt. I have to shave every day and it's already pleasing me to kick the Gilette habit.
