More than double the OP's age.
I've noticed that there are some quite young fellows here. Good on you all for not being part of the herd!
I am 39, look 25
I am 53, been straight shaving for 3 years, but I wish I had started much earlier on this obsession!
23 here, a lot of friends around my age are getting in to straight razors and away from the Mach 5 or whatever number they're at now.
I'm 28. I'll be 29 in less than one month. I often get mistaken for 19 or 20, though this is only if i'm wearing a hat because my hairline has receded a tiny bit. Even then I get placed at 25 at the oldest. I feel like I'm 18, and frankly I'm a little shocked each time I go to the liquor store and buy a bottle of whiskey and they let me leave with it. I still get carded everywhere I go, which is really annoying. I still think of myself in "when I grow up" terms, which is weird considering I'm married with a kid and I'm a teacher with a real "career" even though it doesn't pay the bills. Crazy.
Enjoy being 'carded' while it lasts!! I now work as a cashier in a grocery store and I recently 'carded' a woman--she was born in 1969!!! She didn't look like she was even 30 (which is the age that you are supposed to ask for ID)!!
Personally I just keep getting older, and I really don't mind!!
I'm almost 33 years of age. I haven't shaved with a straight razor yet but have been lurking on this site in preparation for my first shave. I recently acquired my father-in-law's father's SR which I sent out to be honed and cleaned by Lynn Abrams. I'm anxiously looking forward to it's arrival in the next week or so. I'm sure I'll be posting more here in the near future.
