Thread: Count me in! First shave...

My razor came today from Larry, of Whipped Dog Straights. After looking through all the stuff that came with my Sight Unseen Deal, I took the plunge. I followed Lynn's advice and only shaved the right side of my face, but it was great! After a couple of months of wet-shaving with a Merkur 34C HD, I finally went for it and had my first shave with a straight razor, albeit only a small part of my face. Now, I know I have a long way to go to get proficient, and a lot trickier parts of my face to shave, but I am really pleased with my first experience. It was easier than I thought it would be, probably because of all the reading, video watching and such. Anyhow, count me in. I can't wait until tomorrow morning.
