Yes, but it would stop the bleeding,,,don't worry that old Sheffield steel is tough. ;) :rofl2:
You're more worried about the blade than you are Ed's finger ??
You say that as if it weren't par for the course here! :rofl2:
Of course I'm joking Ed - I hope it heals up well and quickly. I have a little scar on my middle finger from when I lost control stropping once. I *know* that one went to the bone, so I wouldn't be surprised if yours did too.
Hope it heals fast Ed, but as my old man used to say "It helps to make you tough"
A very empathetic guy......
OK, time out for a little side story. Years ago I took a bookbinding course in a campus town that not only had papermaking, printing, bookbinding, a world-famous writing program, but also a teaching hospital. If you threw a brick and managed to miss a writer, or even if you hit a writer and it bounced, you'd ding a book artist and the brick would finally land on a physician's foot. After a few classes, our instructor asked us who we thought his most nervous students had been. We all made guesses, trying to imagine who in the town would be the least dexterous. We were all wrong.
He said it came down to the point where you first have to cut something, that's where the nerves would show. And one year he had a couple of surgeons in the class, and they just shut down when faced with the first trim. They sewed fine, folded fine, all that. But they balked at cutting. "Why are you guys so afraid to cut paper," asked Larry. "Well," said one, "we're used to cutting stuff that, when you mess it up, heals itself."
